My biggest goal and top priority is to help build Full Metal BJJ into the most well-rounded and welcoming gym in the area. Beyond that, my goal is to train and compete as often as possible, to one day earn my Black Belt, and to always hold onto my passion for learning more and becoming the best coach possible.
Before I found Jiu-Jitsu I always felt like I was searching for something or somewhere that didn’t exist. I never really settled in anywhere and was never fully satisfied with how I was spending my time. Finding Jiu-Jitsu changed everything for me. Not only has training BJJ helped with my chronic pain, but it has also majorly helped me with the body image issues that I have struggled with my whole life. Training BJJ has allowed me to believe in my strength and appreciate the capabilities of my body. On top of all that, this is where I found my people. I met my husband during a Muay Thai class and then met my closest friends in the Jiu-Jitsu classes that followed. Getting started in Jiu-Jitsu ignited a fire in me that continues to light my path to success.
I have trained in so many different sports and nothing even comes close to BJJ. Sure any sport can help you get into some-what better shape and teach you about teamwork, however, BJJ takes those things to an unbeatable level and then adds so much more on top. It will teach you discipline, respect, honor, patience, and restraint. It will show you all of the good that’s inside of you and turn you into the strongest and happiest version of yourself. Plus, you get to meet so many amazing people along the way!
Our Team! The environment that has been built here is unlike anything else I’ve experienced. When you walk in you immediately feel welcomed and a part of something bigger than yourself. Our team is full of good people who reliably show up to support and encourage each-other! Training with a team like this makes me feel like I can accomplish anything!
Outside of the gym, I’m really just a home-body. If I’m not training, coaching classes, at a tournament, or taking care of our member’s needs, then I’m probably at home enjoying a simple quiet life. I like just relaxing with my husband and our animals; we have two cats, a dog, and four snakes. I also enjoy creating art in my little home studio, doing some yoga out in the sun, lounging on the couch watching movies, and eating lots of good food!
